Spring, 2002 - Measured Progress Report

This report contains baseline and progress data for the goals and objectives in the District Improvement Plan

Based on the profile of the district that emerged from the analysis of strengths and weaknesses, benchmark standards were identified. Three types were used and are followed by the specific benchmarks.

(a)    Comparisons to statewide data;

(b)   Comparisons to a select group of communities that form a cohort group for the district (Chariho, Tiverton, North Smithfield, Scituate); and

(c)    Internal comparisons, using our own baseline data.

Student academic performance to be determined by:

         Cohort progress over time - the gains made by the same students as they move through grades;
